Joined Microtel, a long distance telecommunications company, aided in the growth into a multi-multibillion dollar global company, the second largest in the United States.  Started in sales and held marketing, management, operations, M&A positions. Instrumental in the inception and launch of three global divisions.

Developed the marketing strategy for the 0+ product line and conducted implementation to 1400 person sales force.  Evaluated, established and managed resellers channel of distribution.   Managed RFP team and lobbied Senate for passage of 1996 telecommunications legislation.  Increased sales production through introduction of: performance compensation plans, incentive contests, recognition programs, promotions, internal communications, development of new products and tactical marketing.

Director of Operations for National Accounts Division

Managed: P&L of a $24 million annual budget, back office systems, RFP team and administration 10 offices.

Lobbied the US Senate to pass 1996 Telecommunications Bill into Law. Increased sales production through introduction of: performance compensation plans, incentive contests, recognition programs, promotions, internal communications, development of new products and tactical marketing.

Group Product Manager and # 2 Executive at a chemical company tasked to brand 500 products, start and manage lubricant division in the US and Puerto Rico for Gaines Industries.

 

Government Account Executive who sold word processing equipment to the commercial, state, and federal government markets for Lanier Business Products.
